The Oceanário - "Aquarium of Lisbon" - is situated in "Parque das Nações" (Ex- Expo 98). It holds 30 reservoirs with more than 7000 m3 of salty water. The habitats were conceived in a way to reproduce with exactness the flora and fauna, the geological and climatic characteristics and even the typical ambient sounds of each one of the represented areas.
Located in the town centre, the Lisbon Zoo has one of the best zoological collections in the whole world: more than 2000 animals and about 350 different species. Apart from visiting the animals, the Lisbon Zoo also offers a great variety of attractions that make the delight of many visitors.

Gastronomy
The Portuguese flavours

You just can't avoid smelling it in the small quarters of Alfama, Bairro Alto and many other locals around Lisbon in June, when the Popular Saints celebrations crowd into the streets of the city, bringing along tiny coloured flags, balloons, and popular marches.

In some countries, at Christmas time, people eat turkey. In Portugal people eat boiled 'bacalhau', with olive oil, potatoes, grain and cabbages.
The Lisboetas are tireless drinkers of coffee served in small cups, locally known as “bica”, available all day long and in all types of cafes.

On the amusement “Serafina” Park, you may see the zones of “Campolide” and “Amoreiras”, and also a very good part of north Lisbon.

Near the Marques with the view over the downtown and the Castle, we may find tennis court, sport pavilion, restaurants and esplanade. These gardens have different botanical species.
Jardim Botânico da Ajuda
The first national botanic garden remounts to the XVIII century. Flora specimens from the regions were the Portuguese navigators arrived can be seen. You can also see, Fences, Centenary trees and a garden of aromatic plants.
Jardim da Estrela
Space of the Romantic Lisbon full of nooks that invite you to rest and appreciate de surroundings. There is a lake, a restaurant, and an esplanade.
Jardim da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian
